1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the APIShort service ("Service"), available at apishort.com, including our API endpoints, website, dashboard, and documentation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and APIShort ("we", "us", "our"). Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2 Description of Service

APIShort is a transparent proxy API service that provides real-time access to data from 18+ short drama streaming platforms. Key characteristics of the Service include:

  • All data is fetched in real-time directly from upstream platforms — we do not cache or store content.
  • We act solely as a transparent intermediary; all content, metadata, and media belong to their respective platform owners.
  • The Service provides a unified RESTful API interface across all supported platforms.
  • API responses are returned in JSON format and reflect the upstream platform's current data.

We do not host, store, or redistribute any copyrighted content. APIShort functions as a technical proxy layer only.

3 Account Registration

To use the Service, you must register an account through Google OAuth authentication. The following conditions apply:

  • Gmail Only: Only personal @gmail.com accounts are accepted. Google Workspace, organizational, or enterprise accounts are not permitted.
  • One Account Per Person: Each individual may create and maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or other restrictions is strictly prohibited.
  • Verified Email: Your Google account must have a verified email address.
  • Accurate Information: You represent that the information associated with your Google account is accurate and belongs to you.

We reserve the right to reject or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

4 API Keys & Authentication

Upon successful registration, you will receive a unique API key. This key is required to authenticate your API requests.

  • API keys must be passed via the X-API-Key HTTP header or the api_key query parameter.
  • Your API key is personal and confidential. Do not share, publish, or embed your key in publicly accessible code or repositories.
  • You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key.
  • If you believe your API key has been compromised, you must regenerate it immediately via the dashboard.
  • We reserve the right to revoke or rotate API keys at any time for security purposes.

5 Rate Limiting & Usage Plans

The Service offers the following usage tiers:

  • Free Plan: 100 API requests per day, access to all platforms and endpoints.
  • Weekly Plan ($29/week): Unlimited requests, priority response speed, dedicated API key.
  • Monthly Plan ($89/month): Unlimited requests, fastest response speed, priority support, and custom integration assistance.

Daily request counts reset at midnight UTC. Exceeding your daily limit will result in 429 Too Many Requests responses until the next reset. Requests made without a valid API key are subject to IP-based rate limiting at 100 requests per day.

We reserve the right to modify pricing, rate limits, and plan features at any time with reasonable notice.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Acceptable use includes:

  • Building applications, tools, or services that consume the API for legitimate purposes.
  • Accessing publicly available data from supported drama platforms.
  • Integrating the API into your own projects, applications, or research.

You must comply with the terms of service and policies of each upstream platform whose data you access through our Service.

7 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Mass Account Creation: Creating multiple accounts, using automated tools to register, or creating accounts on behalf of others to circumvent restrictions.
  • Rate Limit Circumvention: Using multiple API keys, IP rotation, or any technique to bypass rate limits.
  • Data Reselling: Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially redistributing raw API data or responses without authorization.
  • DDoS & Abuse: Sending excessive requests intended to disrupt, degrade, or overload the Service or upstream platforms.
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the internal workings of the proxy service, authentication system, or infrastructure.
  • API Key Sharing: Sharing your API key with third parties or embedding it in client-side code accessible to end users.
  • Illegal Content Distribution: Using the Service to facilitate the distribution of pirated, illegal, or unauthorized content.
  • Automated Scraping: Using the API to systematically download or archive entire platform catalogs.
  • Impersonation: Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation when using the Service.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without notice.

8 Intellectual Property

All content accessed through the API — including but not limited to drama titles, descriptions, episode data, images, and video URLs — is the sole property of the respective upstream platform owners. APIShort makes no claim of ownership over any such content.

The APIShort service itself, including its website design, branding, documentation, API architecture, and proxy infrastructure, is the intellectual property of APIShort and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the APIShort service, branding, or documentation without prior written consent.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We specifically disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Any guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • Any guarantee that the data returned by the API will be accurate, complete, or current.
  • Any warranty regarding the availability or reliability of upstream platforms.

You acknowledge that API responses depend entirely on the availability and behavior of third-party upstream platforms, which are outside our control.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, APIShort and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
  • Damages arising from upstream platform downtime, data inaccuracies, or API changes.
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account or API key.
  • Any damages arising from your reliance on data obtained through the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

11 Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the Service, including your Google account information and API usage logs.

12 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service.
  • Engaging in prohibited activities listed in Section 7.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Non-payment for paid plans.
  • Extended periods of inactivity.

Upon termination, your API key will be immediately invalidated and your access to the dashboard will be revoked. We are not obligated to provide a reason for termination or to retain your account data.

13 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless APIShort and its operators, affiliates, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights of upstream platform owners.
  • Any content or data you transmit through the Service.

14 Changes to Terms

We may revise and update these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately when posted and apply to all access to and use of the Service thereafter.

Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms means you accept and agree to the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically for updates.

For material changes, we may notify users through the dashboard or via the email address associated with your account.

15 Governing Law & Disputes

APIShort operates as an international digital service. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within thirty (30) days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

16 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
